Found as a miniature sized, hot growing, bifoliate epiphyte in Assam, Thailand, Burma, Laos, Vietnam and Malaysia in evergreen, semi-deciduous and deciduous dry lowland forests and savana-like woodlands at elevations of sea-level to 800 meters with flattened at the bottom, ovate pseudobulbs 5cm+ apart on a woody rhizome with 2 apical, bilobed at the apex, elliptical leaves that has a basal, slender, 20cm to 30cm long inflorescence with an umbel of 5 to 10 successive opening flowers at the apex, held well above the leaves, occurring in the summer and autumn.
