Found in Madagascar in shady locales in moss forests at elevations of sea-level to 1000m as a miniature hot to warm growing epiphyte with a very short stem carrying 2 to 8 closely set, elliptic, unequally bilobed apically, coriaceous, dark glossy green leaves with somewhat erect, racemose, 5cm to 7cm long, inflorescence carrying from 6 to 20 glistening white flowers occurring in the winter.
