This is a miniature sized, hot growing, solitary leafed epiphyte occurring in Brazil and the Guianas with ovoid elongated pseudobulbs that are enveloped basally by several, imbricating, brown sheaths carrying a single apical, erect, slightly fleshy, olive green leaf that blooms on a 1.5cm long, erect, sheathed inflorescence arising in the spring and summer.
