	Found in Colombia as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial or lithophyte at elevations of 1450m to 1900m in areas with constant water seepage, in or by rivers with a very short stem carrying 8, linear-lanceolate, suberect, rigid, acute to acuminate leaves that blooms on a 30cm long, erect, pubescent, pale greenish purple, branching, few to several [6 to 10] flowered inflorescence with ovate floral bracts and small [for the genus], fragrant flowers occurring in autumn but possible at any time of the year.
