	A medium sized, cool to hot growing epiphytic or lithophytic orchid on limestone cliffs in narrow crevasses that is found in Nepal, Bhutan, China, NE India, Myanmar, Thailand, peninsular Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam in primary broadleaf evergreen lowland forests or primary montane forests at elevations of sea-level to 1500m with 3cm to 4cm between each, ovoid to ellipsoid pseudobulbs that carry 2 apical, oblong-elliptic, acute , plicate, 5 nerved, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in autumn arising on the newest mature pseudobulb with a terminal, slender, 4cm to 5 cm long, fractiflex rachis, 1 to few flowered, racemose inflorescence subtended with a narrow basal sheath and carrying 1 to 3, fragrant [musk], long-lived flowers held just above the leaves. This species requires a short rest in mid-winter.
