Found in Madagascar at elevations of sea-level to 2350m as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte occurring on twigs and smaller branches of bushes and trees with a short stem carrying 4 to 5, fleshy, elliptic or obovate, dark, glossy green leaves that bloom on a pendant, to 20cm long inflorescence with a few to many, fragrant flowers occurring in the summer.
